I went to source art for a client and ended up finding 2 husband-wife artist duo, doing a residency! And if you’ve followed me long enough – you know I’m going to tell you about it! 😝

Founded in 2022 by @chemouldcolab , Chemould CoLab is an extension of the legendary Chemould Prescott Road, creating a residency and exhibition space dedicated to supporting emerging artists at the start of their careers.

I met two incredible artists currently associated with the residency. @jayeeta_chatterjee_art beautifully documents the lives of women in Bengal, combining woodcut printmaking with traditional Nakshi Kantha embroidery on repurposed saris to preserve stories and craft. @anilagovindappa creates expressive large-scale woodcut prints and paintings inspired by everyday observations, transforming ordinary moments into striking visual narratives.
