Regular LED vs Full Spectrum LED Lights
Here’s what to look for when choosing a full spectrum LED:
• The driver of the light should not cause the light to flicker.
• CRI (Colour Rendering Index): Choose 90+. The higher the CRI, the more accurately colours, materials and finishes appear.
• Colour Temperature: For homes, opt for 2700K–3000K for a warm, inviting ambience. Around 4000K works well for task-oriented spaces like kitchens or work areas.
• Flicker-Free Technology: Reduces eye strain and creates a more comfortable environment.
While full spectrum LEDs may cost more than regular LEDs, they make a noticeable difference to how your flooring, fabrics, artwork, furniture and paint colours look. It’s one of the few upgrades that improves every element in your home.
