Thank You My Insta Family 400K

Moments like this! I’m taking a deep breath to let it all sink in. My journey on Instagram started 9 months ago on a whim. I was told that if I have 5,000 followers by Dec ‘23, it’ll be respectable and I won’t feel embarrassed by putting myself out there. In the beginning, my kids would film me and I taught myself how to edit at night before sleeping. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would reach 400k within 9 months! 🥳

In 9 months my life has changed – I’ve had to decide between taking on more interior design projects or pursuing this journey on Instagram full time. Instagram won. My husband @jalan.akshay had an intervention. He brought my kids and sat me down and said, “Ridhi, you’ve hit on something big. I want to see you fly. Go do whatever you feel you need to for the next 6 months and I’ll hold down the fort with kids, school and managing my own work. After 6 months we can see how to balance things.” I’m in the middle of those 6 months and honey, the wind is picking up speed and I may need more than 6 months 😅 Shoutout to @jalan.akshay for being my superhero. I don’t post about him or feature him because he doesn’t like it but he’s the wind beneath my wings.

My friend, @arnavm told me to aim for a 1 million followers when I had just 5k followers and I would laugh at his statement. But now he has become the voice in my head and I won’t stop till I get there. And trust me, I’m going to make sure you come along for the ride with me.

To you – thank you loving interiors and home decor the way I do. Thank you for watching the videos and stories, for DMing me and constantly giving me ideas and for tuning in everyday to see what’s new on my page today. 🙏🙏🙏

These little videos have changed my life in ways I never knew imaginable. The goal is to have no goal and to believe in the limitless potential of the universe. Maybe the goals I set for myself limits me… so for the next 2 years, I’m going to drive in 5th gear, unabashedly, with a smile on my face, ready for it all. Let’s go universe, I’m ready for it. 💃🏽
