Ridhi, How Do I Stop Allergies At Home? ( Part 1)

Allergies is something my family has battled with for a while and I’m happy to say… we won the war! Silica gel sachets (you’ve seen them in shoe boxes), diluted vinegar and reducing open shelving where dust can sit have been game changers. I personally prefer silica gels to any damp-guard product you can buy in the market or a dehumidifier machine because a) it’s more cost effective and b) silica gel last years (even though they say months).

My silica gels have been hanging on my hangers for years now and I should probably replace them with new ones but don’t feel the need yet as my clothes still feel fresh and are smell/ mold-free!

I have dogs at home so we are extremely mindful that these sachets don’t land up on the floor anywhere as they can be poisonous to animals and humans. Please keep them away from little kids as well. This trick can be used at home or even in the office (in drawers, office cabinets, server rooms etc)
