Library Tour With Abha Narain Lambah

It’s WORLD HERITAGE DAY! So of course we have @abhanarainlambahassociates to give us a tour of David Sassoon Library, Mumbai. It was built in 1870 and the library is attended by more than 150,000 people per year. The library was restored with the help of @jsw.foundation @icicifoundation and @hermes and was completed in less than 1 year. This library is an escape and gives a peaceful reading ambience in a bustling city like Mumbai.

About the Designer 👇
@abhanarainlambahassociates is an conservation architect whose eponymous architectural practice has restored several of India’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Abha has been on the Expert Committee for the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum and Mentor Indian Museum Kolkata. The practice has over the last 25 years, focused on museum projects across India. Her accolades are vast and her impact on restoring Indian architectural is playing a critical role in preserving history.
