Fluted Trend Here to stay?

Trend or a classic design? Or a trend that has TURNED into a classic design? Fluted / ribbed designs seem to be a no brainer these days. Most people love the look and it is easy to execute while designing homes, offices, restaurants, schools, clinics.

People are installing fluted veneers, louvers, cutting laminates, cutting MDF and in some cases, having each fluted piece made by hand. Even marbles are getting cut by CNC machines to match this trend. Sooooo many different materials are being used to give the same look – a fluted / ribbed design.

Do you think it’s a trend that is here to stay or it has peaked and will slowly be phased out?
