Bamboo Villa Tour With Neha From Ekarth Studio

It started with an email that landed up in my inbox. My team immediately knew it was something special! A few weeks later, I found myself flying to Guwahati from Mumbai via Kolkata to see this bamboo villa called ‘Firefly House’. I met Neha and her team along with the artisans that built it. Despite the sweltering heat of 40 degrees, Neha and I spent hours talking about her inspiration, motivation and journey 🤗

About the Villa 👇
The Firefly by @ekarth.studio is a pioneering two-story villa located in Assam, constructed from treated bamboo culms. This project is a testament to sustainable luxury, designed to push the boundaries of bamboo construction in the region. Each space is crafted to harness natural light and airflow, enhancing the villa’s serene atmosphere. The Firefly is a bold step towards sustainable architecture in the region, highlighting bamboo’s potential as an alternative to traditional construction materials.
